Alabama has numerous acres of timberland for sale!
Here at Southern Forestry Realty, we define timberland as, forested land that is producing or is capable of producing crops of industrial wood and not withdrawn from timber utilization by statute or administrative regulation. (Note*: Areas qualifying as timberland are capable of producing in excess of 20 cubic feet per acre per year of industrial wood in natural stands. Currently inaccessible and inoperable areas are included.)
We believe that timberlands play important roles in the south due to the fact that this area is highly used for agriculture purposes. The more urbanized that the south gets, the less amount of timberland tracts we will have. This could possible result in a drop in economy around the south for the agriculture workers and farmers. If you have any questions about timberland, preserving land, or have any questions in general, please contact one of our realty team members and they will be glad to assist you.
